Vascular Ultrasound

Vascular ultrasound also uses sound to create images and the sound of the blood flow to determine the velocity. Vascular ultrasound includes arterial duplex (arms & legs), segmental pressures, (to include treadmill), venous Duplex (arm & legs). Bypass graft and dialysis graft evaluation for vascular flow (to include treadmill testing for possible pressure drops). All of the named studies utililizes sound waves to perform the tests. Imaging may be preformed directly (ultrasound) or indirectly (continuous wave pencil doppler).

Vascular procedures are also done on men, women and children.
